I am far from sold on buying NCAA 2006 after last years debacle. What do you rate NCAA this year?

Waaaaay better than last year's game. I am a year round NCAA football gamer but not last year. Going to be a good year.

I give it an 8 only because the game should play better out of the box on AA. Unfortunately, running is way to easy out of the box, but it looks like this can be addressed with sliders.

obviously, no game can be perfect. there is always room for improvment, and more added features.

i think RFTH would be so much better if you only controlled your guy.

ex: you play db. while the O has the ball, you can either A) watch, or B) sim until the next time your guy gets on the field. you dont even call the plays. the d coordinator calls them, and you simply do waht is called. i think that would be SO MUCH better, but thats just my opinion

If this were the FIRST ever installment of NCAA by EA Sports, then I would give it a 10...

But, seeings how they now have a "monopoly" on NCAA football games and they have tons of ability and knowledge and resources at their disposal, and comparing it to NCAAs of the past, I can only rate it a 7. Mostly due to lack of any dramatic improvements anywhere and a lackluster RFTH mode.

I think the graphics are nice and the new animations are very good as well as some gameplay issues being better, but for them to hype a new mode (feature) such as RFTH and yet it seems to lack any quality depth IMO (the ONE drill takes all of 60 seconds to do - and that ONE drill completely decides what attributes your player gets; not to mention you create your player AFTER the drill and scholarship offers - which is random; and also the fact that you can simply walk-on at ANY school of your choice and be the starter means the scholarship offers mean absolutely nothing... I could go on), as well as zero improvements (over the last 3 or 4 years) to modes like CREATE a SCHOOL and CREATE a PLAYER is very disappointing, esp. considering the FAD today is that everyone loves to customize everything they can in almost any game. And lets not forget about the rediculous passing numbers of the QBs now.
