Power moves?

How do you do power moves to run over players? Tap sprint or do the cover ball thing? And is there a way to break a tackle when you're actually wrapped up? Thanks.

Re: Power moves?

I break tackles by covering the ball.

Yeah, to try and run through or over an opponent, use the cover ball technique. Sometimes, as you're being wrapped up, you can tell that you might be able to break out of it...just tap the sprint button and you might be successful (especially if you're controlling an impact player who is in the zone).

Re: Power moves?

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the new control scheme. I think I'm going back to the 2005 setup. There's nothing you can't do with the old one and I think it's slightly more intuitive.

My major issue is that I keep wanting to hit the B button (xbox) on defense to to get that little burst of speed, but this year all it does is switch to a different guy, haha.

Re: Power moves?

I've discovered that if you tap the A button and Stiff Arm button you are better able to break tackles when stood up by a defender.
