After playing the game some last night, I really do not like the new GameDay type Intro. It really isn't that great of a feature. I like the old intro with the cool music that would be played as the camera panned from a corner of the staidum and showed the field conditions and who's playing. I also enjoyed the team entrances. No big deal, I just don't get it. Am I the only one who thinks this?

I can see what they were going for....and think it COULD have been very cool, but just feels a bit shallow. Actually, their team and commentary seems to really be the weak link this year to me. The commentary is mostly re-hash, and the new intros are just sort of...lame in some way.

It would be very cool if they went over highlights of previous weeks for each team, something similiar to how ESPN 2k5 does halftime reports and Sportscenter. That would be pretty fun to watch.

As is though, it's not horrible...just leaves something to be desired.

The beginning commentary is exactly the same as last year, except we can now see the Gameday crew for 10 seconds, weak at best.

yeah I hope this is just a building stage for next year when the start implementing the ESPN license in with the games.

I think a lot of this year will be an intro into next years games. I think the will significantly improve on the intro, next gen system I think will open up a lot of option for next years version.

I agree. I wish they would highlight key players from both teams instead of just one.

Yep, very weak.

Visual Concepts has been doing it for years...why does EA have such a hard time having making it look like a good TV production?

I want a halftime show with highlights!!!

I do love the new scoreboard and team logo overlays though. It looks pretty similar to the ESPN broadcasts.
