Georgia Tech Linebacker Wilkerson - impact player in the zone

vs.

North Carolina Halfback (whoever he is) - impact player in the zone

GT shoould win the battle as far as ratings go.

NOPE! Ran me over...stiff armed another...then he pushed 2 guys...spun and ran 73 yds for a TD.

If it was adrian peterson, okay, believable but not this guy. What affects this? RB ability? Would lowering the RB ability affect anything that has to do with In The Zone players or do they just max there attributes when they are pulsating?

It is a horribly implemented feature. I say EA should have gone one step further and had flames around the impact player and have that guy yell out "HE'S ON FIRE!!".

I use FSU and Leon Washington is one of my impact players. He runs over people and drags them 5 yards when he's not in the zone. When he's in the zone, I almost feel guilty for giving the ball to him. It is absolutely one of the worst things EA's ever put in a football game.

Play a game as Florida St and give the ball to number 3. Play a game as Ohio State and throw the ball to number 17. There are quite a few others who are just insane.

If the guy with the higher ratings won EVERY one on one battle like that, would this game be any fun? Absolutely not. You can't use one anecdote about an HB making a great play to decide that an entire feature is broken.

agreed.

besides whenever EA implements a new feature, the first year it is always poorly tuned (ie, freestyle control, hopstep, tips in nba live, and last years HFA affecting the WR's catching ability in NCAA)

i personally have no problem with the impact players, although *sometimes* they might do a little to much.. but next year the feature will be sweet.
