NCAA/HD question

I'm at the parents for the weekend and we have a 50 inch samsung dlp rear projection here. i've got component cables, but no matter what game i play, there is just a half a second slowdown that makes it unplayable. i've tried halo 2, and the same thing happens. any ideas to fix this?

I have a Samsung DLP as well, and have not noticed any slowdown.

But, do you mean a slowdown or a delay in the transfer of the picture? Because I have heard the latter can be a problem on some DLP models (I have the floor-standing "Pedestal" model, and it's fine, but I have heard the tabletop models may be problematic).
