Now if you find a recruit named Englebert Humperdink... THAT would be strange.
I have a pretty common first and last name, so I've seen a few recruits pop up with my name. I usually try to recruit them (how could I not?) but usually aren't successful (I tend to play with sucky schools, so a lot of guys aren't interested).

A few years ago (NCAA 2003, I think) I had a recruit named B.B. King.

Recruited Joe Carter to come back to the 'Dome.

The best one was when my secondary was ex-Jays pitchers: Joey Hamilton, Pete Walker, Dan Cox, and Duane Ward (I don't know how, but it happened). Then Corso goes "This D gives up a lot of homerun balls.' Pretty funny.

Re: Strange Recruit Names

Mike Williams decided to take it easy this year and play quarterback for my roommates 1 star academic school the Mid-Virginia Virgins. We are happy to have him on the team but we question sexual history.

And my 1 star academic school was blessed to have song writer/artist David Bowie playing as quarterback and running the option to near perfection. He truly is a talented man.
