DNQ players

What happens to recruits that end up with DNQ status? I was #1 in line for a 5 star QB and he ended up with Did Not Qualify status. Does he go to a JUCO or anything or is he basically gone forever?

THis happened to me last year. I was number one on his list and he didn't commit to me, so I went to figure out who snaked him from me and he didn't end up going anywhere. He was the #1 HB in the nation too!

That's why you have to look at his GPA

This was randomly put in a few years ago to simulate real life circumstancse that affect recruits, maybe he went to jail, got shot, chose basketball. They just haven't put in a little system that tells you those reasons.

Yeah, they should atleast update you on his status within the in-season recruiting. Maybe something like "He's still choosing between Football and Basketball" or "He needs to get a tutor or else it's juco for this kid".

Ok but how do you see his GPA? I heard you need to scout him first but then what?

Though it was for legal reasons and not academic (or perhaps it was even both), maybe they pulled a Randy Moss (who lost scholarships to both Florida State and Tennessee - I could be wrong on the actual schools) and had to go to some I-AA program. Randy got luck though and Marshall moved up to D-I his senior year.
