Though I know what you're saying, this is somewhat already there with the in-season progression that they've had for two years now. Ratings will change based on how the guys are playing. My backup QB has dropped 2 points overall because he's been chucking up too many interceptions. That said, just because a guy is rated a point or two higher, doesn't mean he's my started. Take a QB for example. Maybe I have one rated an 89 and another an 87. With no pre-season in NCAA, I'm going to play the first few games with no certain #1 QB and see how they play. I'll base my decision on their arm strength, accuracy, mobility, and awareness, but most importantly how they play on the field. The only time I go based on ratings is when there's a significant disparity, say QB's with ratings of 91 and 85. Of course, with letter grades you're now talking A-/B which means you'd go with the A- also.
