Is it possible to change the direction of a running play at the line and if so how ?

Press Y(xbox... I assume it's Triangle for PS2), then the new direction on your arrows. For some odd reason, it doesn't work on some run plays that it probably should, but it usually works.

It won't change if it would require the blockers to switch how they block as well. It will only change the direction of the run if the OLine can still maintain the blocks that were called in the huddle.

Actually when I audible the direction of a run play on XBOX I press the audible (x) then either black or white depending on direction.

You can do that too... but if the computer is loaded up on one side and you do the audible change, not only will it take more time, but the cpu will simply load up on the other side. The hot route audible doesn't change anyone's position. It just changes the direction of the run.
