Stopping the run??

Sick of watching peeps bounce it outside EVERY FREAKIN play (even when its designed for the middle), gets old and I am beginning to think its a glitch. Even with the 4-4 man and a spy I cant stop it. Any tips?

Thanks,
chef

DE Spy can help, it is tough to stop though. controling a linebacker to take care of things manually can help too. One other possiblity is blitzing corners, that can help. I agree that it's a little to easy to bounce outside, although it feels prety good when you do it yourself

Re: Stopping the run??

I do a pretty decent job containing the run, unless I'm playing against a super-back. What you should try is moving your line and LB cores to two different sides. For example, if you call a 4-4 defense, move the D-line to the left and the linebackers to the right. Sow how that works.

Re: Stopping the run??

I use the 5-2 a lot especially against high run teams and impact runnings. They still break long runs every now and then but I usually contain them most of the game.

I had to use the 5-2 against Gerald Riggs but he still gained 200 yds and broke like 10 tackles. Impact players dominate and its frustrating.

to be honest I feel that impact player crap should be blown up from the game I mean just because you have a white circle around you doesnt make you superman and your whole team play good. I am gettin too pissed off about the whole thing god I hate it and yes the running game this year for the CPU and human is way to damn easy but that is the only complaints I have about the game.(me and NCAA06 have a love /hate relationship I cant stop playing)

I play on heisman and haven't had that much trouble with it. I use the Thunder green play out of the Nickel and bring my LBs close to the line...it usually slows down runs both to the inside and outside.
