game length

i'm trying to find the right game length for more true stats, how many plays are there in an average game? i know this veries depending on if teams run or pass but i play a very balanced offense so i'm asking for the "average" game.

Re: game length

8min qtrs work well, I was using 9 but now that i'm calling plays faster
I can get a realistic amount using 8.
The total plays should be between 140-160 per game depending on
your style of play. Running teams will ususally have less plays than passing
teams.

Re: game length

I've used 6 minutes for a few years now. But I don't care about a realistic number of plays, etc.

All I care about are realistic scores and pretty realistic statistics. It's still possible to get 200 rushing yards or 400 passing yards a couple times a year on six minutes, especially in this game.

Same here. Anything longer than 6 minutes seems like forever.

Re: game length

I just moved down to 7 from 8.

I get 120 plays combined on 7 minutes. I am fine with that. 160 plays combined is too much on this game. I would throw for 450 yards a game.

Re: game length

i'm still getting pretty unrealistic stats at 7 min. 6 minutes might be right. my rushing #'s are just huge right now.
