There are some things that people complain about, that are not a big deal to me, like cleats, socks, ect. I don't knock those folks, but those things don't effect the gameplay, which is my primary concern. But there are vital aspects of football that are missing from the game. Those things are a big deal to me.

I played, coached and watch, but I think that's what fuels my disatisfaction. I want the game to look & sound as close to a tv broadcast as possible. Maybe you're just not looking for that level of realism. Some people enjoy the "fun factor" elements of the game, obviously. But some of us find more fun in realism.

It's been confirmed that my major wish wasn't met. Hopefully, enough of them were so that I can buy a footbal game this year.

What gameplay elements make this game next gen? It just look the same with a higher poly count. I may just stick with NCAA 2004.

My personal definition of a "Next Gen" game would be the most realistic graphics possible (I think the player models look realistic) and most realistic gameplay "opportunities". If your a "gameday reality baller" the game should allow you to play a realistic style and actually become immersed in the action much like you are when watching an actual game. (I have replaced sim player with "gameday reality baller" because most folks on this board seem to feel that a sim baller means you have to want to be more concerned with being a GM, Owner, etc. as opposed to actually playing the FOOTBALL videogame (ie. calling plays and CONTROLLING the players running the plays)) From the look of the video clips and early reviews I would say NCAA is a step in the NEXT GEN direction. Not a complete step of course because it is EA. I don't expect to see "realistic gameplay" attributes like gang tackling, etc. because I have lower expectations when it comes to EA games.

Have I been dissapointed in the past with this game? Yes. Do I keep buying the game when it comes out? Yes. I am too much of a college football fan to not buy this game when it comes out. My problem is that I played the greatest football video game ever (NFL 2K5) and everything else comes up short in the comparison.

Great reply. Most likely I will pick it up on the first day.

Man I can't believe you are still playing that, 06 is better (although you were probably wise to skip 05) IMO, it's got everything 04 does but more.

Same here. I think 06 is the best in the series.
