That's the way hot routes worked in Madden 360, you'd switch to the receiver you want and then call the hot route. Once you snapped, you were the QB.

Maybe they had 4 controllers playign at once, and the 2nd guy on offense can be whoever he wants.

Haven't we read of a feature that allows us to be the fullback so we can make a good lead block? Or maybe that was Madden.

Arena Football has the ability to switch to a WR before the snap and run his route... maybe they've added a similar feature to NCAA.
