Hmm, it may not "burn" but "temporary image persistence" is a possibility, and you can't always correct it, I have a 19" LCD monitor in my office that monitors a server, and I have TIP from the quadrants the monitoring program uses.

Re: NCAA 360 scoring ticker at bottom going to cause screen burn in?!!

I've gamed on a Rear Projection HDTV for almost 4 years and have no burn in at all. Once an hour while gaming, I change over to cable tv and watch about 5 minutes or so of something that is ever changing and it seems to do the trick. I probably don't need to do it once an hour, but i always have and it's worked so far.

That was true of LCD's, but DLP's do not now, or have ever, retained images.

like if you have ever seen airport monitors where you can see real faintly ARRIVAL TIME and DEPARTURE TIME on the screen even though the tv isn't showing that. it's basically an image that remains "burnt in" to the screen which is very distracting to watching normal TV if you see something ghosted into the screen.

Now one thing I do recall though is a year or two ago in movies a month or so before release the score for PS2 version always was on in upper left hand corner of screen but when we actually got the game that thing faded away during the actual play.

Is this something anyone else is worried about or does anyone know if the ticker can be set to go off and/or does it alternate slightly at bottom of the screen to prevent burn-in? This is about the only thing that may keep me from playing NCAA 360 to death and if so that would be a shame..
Where is this Texas/OU video at
