July 5th

After a long night of stuffing down a lot of polish sausages and hamburgers and lighting off fireworks i was all set for my journey in trying to con retail stores into giving me a copy of ncaa football early.

First store- Best Buy. After trying to act like I was harmlessly looking at the gaming section, i stopped an employee in the section. I asked, "can you check on a game for me?" "sure thing, which game is it?" "NCAA Football 2007 for the psp." "That game isn't out yet, but you can pre-order it so you will get it right when it comes out on the 18th."

Busted. I didn't know Best Buy was taking pre-orders.

Next stop- Toys-R-Us. Found an employee who looked pretty cool, asked him for the game. He didn't see it on the shelf, so he looked in a glass case behind the counter and didn't see it their either. I told him my brother in Oklahoma already had a copy. He said, "Doesn't it usually come out a couple of weeks before Madden." "I dont know, when does madden come out?" "August." "Oh, alright well thanks for checking."

Next store- CompUSA. The associate Jaime asked if she could help me after i had someone call her to the gaming dept. She didn't know of the game, so she said she would check on it for me. I started to see her head to the back room, and i could practically see Zac Taylor throwing bombs to Matt Herian on my psp, but then she quickly darted to her right and looked up the game on her computer. "We don't have it yet." "thanks for checking."

Next store- Wal-Mart. I ask the guy in the deptartment and he looks in a binder that says they will get it on the 18th. On the way out i see a big poster of Reggie Bush reading NCAA Football 07- availabe everywhere July 18th.

Next store- My spirit has been stomped on. I feel like an idiot. I go the man in the deptartment and he says it isn't out yet. He checks to see when they will get it, and he says it is either the 11th or the 18th. My god, a glimmer of hope. Possibly only a 5 more days until NCAA on my psp.

So for now, i regroup, and wait for next tuesday.

you went looking for this game....2 weeks before launch?...LOL. If any of us gets it early, it'll be next week.

I hit up Walmart a couple days ago... I almost had the guy going to the back before he saw the sign with the street date on it.

I thought about getting a really hot 19 or 20 year old chick to hit up some goofball walmart employee and have her ask for it..and have her say "yeah I didnt really get into video game football until I met my ex".
