what is so hard about editing equipment for gosh sakes? one of the reasons i disliked sega sports is because they never allowed you to edit play equipment, and generated player had no special equipment (nba, nfl, etc)

I at least hope recruits will have unique equipment like arm band, visors, etc...if the all look alike its college hoops 2k4 all over again...it gets old
You could edit equipment in NFl2kx series.

Personally...and this is obviously just me...all I really care about is being able to edit the names. I'm too busy playing the game to notice So and So doesn't have the correct wrist bands, or visor, or fake mask, or any of that.

I think it'd be a nice feature to have. I like to edit my incoming recruits especially. Not something worth a hornforever type meltdown imo, but it is frustrating that it was left out.

The only thing that I hope is that there are equipment templates for the various positions that the computer assigns to recruits or created players so we don't see a db wearing linemen arm pads or players not being assigned any equipment at all.

Yeah, of course it's a little disappointing, just saying it really doesn't seem like a big enough feature to be complaining about to this extent.

Granted, may be huge to some people...but didn't realize it was THIS important. If they had taken it out totally, no names, no nothing...I'd be pissed, but we can still get named rosters and everything, so I'm set.

Some people enjoy dressing up their players more than playing football. That's their perrogative.

Re: Player Editor is Stripped Down for 360

Come on...all sports are centered around the players. If I had a nickle for everytime someone said Vince Young beat USC, I'd be a rich man. No one cares about "team" anymore...it's Reggie Bush this and Brady Quinn that. I know that maybe EA doesn't care about the hardcore gamer, but they didn't get a stadium to pose for their cover did they? The point I was making is, if you go to all the trouble to get some guy to go to all these stadiums and map them out to scale, and add some scientific equation that puts the sun in it's exact position during all times of the day, why not let us "hardcore" gamers edit our players to represent our favorite real life football heroes in the same detail?
