Sounds like a problem with the 360 rather than the game. I am on my 3rd one unfortunately, but my latest has been perfect.

I am going to be so pissed if my 360 screws up.

I did get a year warranty but now I am think I should have got a longer one.

I cleaned the smudge, and it is working now. I am updating rosters, but I will check if it works during games.

i heard it scratches if it's upright but mine has always been upright and never had the problem

I know my friend moved his while it was on and it screwed his Madden game up.

Hmm.....I think I did move it a little when I was playing before. I think that may have caused the problem. And I bought some stuff from Gamestop for scratches before, just in case.

Yep, you should never move it with a disc in it, even if it isn't on.
