It's EA's attempt at duplicating a QB looking the CB's and Safeties off one receiver by looking one way at the snap and fully intending to throw to a different receiver from the get-go

Or in real life when a QB hands it off but pretends to continue his dropback. Or the worst offense of all, Favre handing off and then pretending to throw the ball. There should be a rule for this

It makes the QBs passes more accurate if the vision cone is over a reciever when you throw it just like in Madden, it's an extra step to ensure accuracy. Not cheese since it takes valuable time in which the QB might get sacked.

It would be good if you could turn this option on all the time. It's a pain to click the right stick to bring it up to make your life harder as a QB... I like the added difficulty of the cone, but I have enough to do post-snap.
