Re: My Xbox has NEW Life . . .

Well, I'm encouraged now. Maybe I can stop frequenting video game stores in a trenchcoat, dark glasses and baseball cap, afraid that someone who knows this 41-year-old might see him buying "kid's games.'' And I think I'll stop putting the X-Box in the closet whenever company is due over.

I've always maintained that as long as it doesn't affect other areas of life (family, health, work), there's nothing wrong with playing these games. Like someone said, there are worse vices.

Now, I'm going to have a drink, light up a smoke and pop in NCAA 2007.

My sentiments exactly. My wife doesn't mind just long as she gets her "time".

I'm excited to hear this from mature gamers. I'm only 24 but I consider myself a mature gamer and alot of the negative things people are saying about the current-gen version on this site don't seem like they'd be an issue to me.

Well, My wife questions me and my xbox once in a while and my reply is...

"well, what's the difference between me playing my xbox or you watching American Idol or Americas Next Top Model" ?
With all the crap on TV, I'll hone my aging reflexes anytime.
