I would think that they could just accelerate the game clock and leave the play clock the same...

I used to try and play 15 minute quarters, but that is for the birds. Games take nearly or more than 2 hours.

I'm down to about 10 minute quarters and I get the right amount of plays, as well as adequate defensive stats.

10 minute quarters should work if you skip the cut scenes. Anything less and you won't get the right amount of plays.

The best solution would be for the NCAA to follow the pros and keep the clock running after first downs. Other than that, I don't know what EA can do to make the games shorter.

I like the idea of cutscenes since they allow those who want to wait through them the opportunity to get realistic possession time out of the CPU. I do wish there was an option to disable them or just show the walkup from past games. That combined with the clock being mapped to 15 minutes no matter what the actual time is would be cool.

Thanks Mood - I'm trying this tonight. I love my games to run a couple hours. This makes it feel more realistic to me. If I can get proper playcounts and stats on 15 min qtrs then I will be the happiest gamer around. Wondering what system you are using?

** Side note ** I believe that if you give your center enough time to call out the blocking assignments before snapping the ball - the plays run MUCH smoother and more realistic. Does the CPU center get enough time to do this before the CPU snaps?
