Opportunity to change conference: I hath no shame

So I just finished year 1 of my Southern Miss Dynasty. I finished 12-2 and beat Georgia Tech in the Liberty Bowl in OT (I was up 40-24 in the 4th). I am offered the LSU and Georgia jobs which I decline. I went on to sign a 4 year extension at my school. So as I'm getting ready to advance to the off-season, a screen pops up something like..."You've been invited to replace Vanderbilt in the SEC". I clicked accept with no hesitation. I hath no shame and Southern Miss is now in the SEC...lol!

As UL Monroe, I was invited to replace Mississippi State.

The funny thing was, i really didnt set the world on fire as ULM.

I was 8-5 and then 9-4 - won 2 sunbelt titles, lost both bowl games.

I declined. Who wants to play Florida or LSU when you can play FAU and ULL?

I'd be all over that too. Its a dream come true to build up your favourite school. Now that you are in the SEC, you get much better competition and can continue your drive to the national championship. Heck, if Southern Miss was ever presented that offer in real life, they would be all over it to. You should feel no guilt!

That is awesome. I guess I have missed out all these years playing with teams in the SEC and Big 12. I was going to take UAPB (even though they suck but I am from Pine Bluff) and try to do this after hearing everyone talk about being able to change conferences if you did good....unfortunately I do not see them in the 07 version of the game. I can't wait for the Univ. of Central Arkansas (UCA) to be officially a D1 school and play some D1-A teams so they can get on the game. Go Bears!
