Punt return logic?

has anyone else had issues with guys running after punts when there is no reason to, i just had a guy run after a punt and inside my 10 yard line after i ran the return man off and it nearly cost me the game

Yes, but I thought it was much much worse of an issue in last year's game, when it was always a frantic scramble to shuttle away the succession of idiots going after the ball like guided missiles.

Just had a bad experience with this today, in fact. If you call a fair catch with the first guy and run him off, all the other guys will try to fair catch it too. And the dumbest thing about it is that if one of them does catch it, it's called a fair catch, even if they weren't the one who signaled.

Guess the bottom line is you can't dummy the fair catch.
