Dynasty with 1-AA team

If I want to start a dynasty with a 1-AA team, do I have to substitute the team for a 1-A team? If so, who should I substitute, temple?

As I recall, yes, you have to exchange your D1-AA team for a 1-A team. Temple, I think, is considered an independent in the game, so that might not be very fun.

If I were you, I'd pick a conference whose footprint covers the I-AA school you want to play as. For example, say you pick Appalachian State. They're located smack dab in the middle of ACC Country, so maybe subbing them for Duke would be an option. To me, it would just depend on where that school is located.
