Re: Auto Strafe?

Using the strafe button squares you up when you go to make a hit. I think auto strafe helps without hitting the button. I think I have it on but not sure if it helps much.

Re: Auto Strafe?

Personally, I view auto strafe as cheating. There is a big difference with it on and off. With it on, playing as linebacker will be much easier. You'll almost always be squared up to make a hit and you won't over pursue as much.

If you want to strafe, you should have to hold the button. The only time I'll agree to auto strafe is when playing against someone that has no clue on defense but still wants to play as a LB.

Re: Auto Strafe?

Is this option turned on by default? I didn't even know there was a setting for this. It must not be on, I have never noticed any strafing that I'm not doing myself.

Re: Auto Strafe?

I just prefer to use the button and manually strafe myselft. I have more control of when I want to strafe and when I need to run to get to the spot.

Yup, cheating.

If there was a setting for auto jukes and stiff arms on offense, would you consider it cheating? I know I would and I view auto strafe the same way for the defense.

Again, the only exception for me is someone that has no skill but still wants to play as LB. Then I'm all for it to help them make tackles.
