Precision Passing and Leading a Receiver? (360)

Can you still lead a receiver? Everytime I try to lead a receiver on a go-route (up on right analog stick) it seems as if my QB is just throwing a higher pass so the WR can jump for it, and not a pass that actually leads the receiver. On a comeback, I pull down on the right analog stick, because I want to lead the receiver back to the ball... but I think my QB throws the ball low. I think the only time I lead a receiver correctly is on the in and out patterns... so, is there a way to actually lead on go routes and comebacks?

Never really thought about it, but I guess not. Up is to throw a high pass and down is to throw a low pass both with the intention of putting the ball where only the receiver can get it. I don't guess they made the logic smart enough to consider the route being run.
