Re: dynasty ethics

As much as I hate to see this happen, it happens in real life as well, especially when awards (and champions for that matter) are based on votes and not on the field... for example when Gino Torreta beat out Marshall Faulk for the Heisman... I'm still a little bitter. LOL.

Re: dynasty ethics

Dynasty ethics?!?!? I swear we've come a long way in sports videogaming!

Since it's a victimless act and the whole point of playing videogames is to have a good time (or at least should be), I say as long as you're not losing sleep over it and it enhanced your enjoyment of the game, more power to you.

I, personally, have never done anything to influence the outcome of games not on my own team's schedule, but I'm sure I've done some thing(s) in videogames over the years that some would label as unethical. But, because it's my game, I'll always play it to get the maximum amount of fun out of it as possible, and not worry about what others think.

LOL it really is like confession isn't it... haha that's great...

believe it or not, i have never ever reset a game that i have lost except once this year by accident when the ps2 got kicked and the power button got turned off...

the trophies really don't mean THAT much to me... i mean i've played the games for years and i won the heisman, cleanly , with my Nebraska option QB in '05, so it wasn't like something that i HAD to do... i just found it really interesting that i WAS able to "doctor" history... i play 7 min. quarters and that bell game really was a defensive struggle... plus i love that HB he just makes defenders look silly...

really, i just wanted to hear from someone who "felt my pain" so to speak...

that's exactly it! how often do you see TE's like that with the best numbers in the game? i would've tried the same thing if I had that guy...

so yeah dynasty ethics pretty ridiculous i know... it does make the game fun for me... especially since i'm about to bounce from OK State 'cuz it feels damn near impossible to win a title there... i have Oklahoma and Texas back to back every year, it's brutal... thanks to all for responding i enjoyed reading your posts

p.s. my students might hear about my HB this week

Re: dynasty ethics

Zeke,

If it makes you feel any better, buddy...
I'm a HS AP Calc teacher and I have been known to "replay" a game or two in an attempt to achieve a better ending in my day.

Your and I's motto: "Whatever it takes to get a 5!"
