Very good observations. I did see the center on one run play slide of the DT and take on a LB which was nice but I also want to see a true pocket on pass plays. DEs don't just run into the OT as most try to rush the corner (and avoid a much larger player) and sometimes get pushed behind the QB. I'm not sure EA has ever emulated the OT pushing the DE too deep in the pocket. They usually just wrestle until one player pancakes another player. Hopefully that will be different this year.

Edit: I should add that I agree its way too early to make judgments on any videos let alone something this short. Unless someone you trust with similar play experience has hands on impressions, I don't believe much without playing something myself.

There really should be some sort of accuracy after run slider which is time based. That way if you run with QB your throw will be inaccurate until that timer is up.

Are you referring to the second hit? If that is what EA is considering a gang tackle I'm going to be severely disappointed. It looks exactly like the animation where two guys jump on the ball carriers back. They even do the same "flop to opposite sides" thing after they all fall to the ground.

These vids wouldn't indicate it's fixed. The DL should release from their line interaction and start chasing down the QB. But in the one roll to the left, the DE falls to ground, so we don't know for sure. It's also still too early. From these videos alone though, it didn't look improved.

Only thing I'm disappointed with is the QB out of the pocket and I bet that remains exactly like it is. The only thing they can do is fatigue. I'm not going to call the ign guy garbage because he does that although I hate that every frigging play. Until they develop it to where that cannot happen alot then oh well. Nothing really jumps out in the vids. It'll be a game you will need to see on your TV in order to catch all the little nuances they've added to it.

The one thing about the high school stuff that I wish was there: High School offensive systems like entire playbooks devoted to the Jet Sweep, Fly Offense, Wing T, Double Wing ect. I'm sure they will have PLAYS such as Jet Sweep but not entire offensive packages. Anyways looks much smoother than last year's game.

They CAN fix the QB OoP issue. Just have the DE's sweep in an outside circular motion. On top of that, make sure the interaction doesn't "attach" the two magically. It can be done, even on EA's system. I'd bet anything on that. I'm pretty sure it's not a concern for them, however.

I would add to that make a QB accurracy on the run rating. It's far too easy for QB's to roll out, stop, and throw pinpoint passes. #1)most don't have the athletic ability to do that and 2)alot don't have the awareness, composure, and technique to do it.

Look at Troy Smith and Chris Leak. Those guys made a career out of throwing out of the pocket. There needs to be something to differentiate them from a pure pocket passer.

still has that framerate stutter after a play going into the play selection screen as well as after the play is picked. that better not be in the game, cuz it was god damn annoying and kept reminding me that i was playing a video game, taking away from the experience of making it look real.

i do like how the runners were colliding with other players after being wrapped up...(video1)

one thing i dont like is in one of the videos, the qb rolls left and throws a pass to the running back, the running back makes a turn around catch but it appears a little NBA Liveish in terms of skating. hopefully these vids were not from the final build.

i love the new camera for the superstar / heisman mode or whatever it is. leagues better than madden 07s.

aren't they bringing in new ratings this year? if they bring in the ratings from nfl head coach then there is a throw on the run rating.
