I'm trying to hold out on renewing my Live until the game drops. Will I still be able to get the demo with Silver or should I just re-up now?

Pretty sure you can download demos through a silver account.

Tomorrow should be great! I'm going to play the hell out of that demo for the next seven days.

If memory serves me correctly you have to wait like a week to download new demos while gold gets to when it comes out. Just another ploy to get more gold paying members.

I remember how pissed off I was last year after playing the demo. Lets pray this game is the real deal.

Silver=downloads but no online play
Gold=downloads+online play

You should be able to play the demo with silver.
