In NCAA 2005 or 2006 on XBox, I distinctly remember being able to sub by formation, as I had a mobile QB as my QB in option formations.

I would really like to do this again in 08, as I am going to play with Temple, and their starting QB won't give me much in the wishbone formation. I looked through the menus, but I didn't see how to sub by formation.

Has anyone tried this yet?

Nope, Form Subs, along with MANY MANY other featues, is amongst the stuff that EA deemed not important enough to earn NG status.

Form Subs was a important part of my game planning strategy. EA not only removed it but also completely F'ed up the depth chart utility.

There are no formation subs but you can change the package before each play from the playcalling screen. They have a backup QB package that allows you to put the QB in. The CPU doesnt do this much.

Ya - it is unfortunate that something so basic and useful has been left out.

Still though - at least with the wishbone - I will just make the wishbone guy my backup QB. That is a pretty simple and functional workaround. Thanks Aholbert!

It is odd that they would leave something like this out.

I agree just like alternate camera angles and clear visors i love the game play but damn if it isn't the little things that's killing it
