Dirty Disc Errors

I wouldn't modify the game to make it work right. You shouldn't have to turn off game features so that the game works correctly.

I think everybody is having problems.. I remember the day i got it, I was on the Gamefaqs board, and someone said this game killed my 360.. I was like man that guy is dumb.. well lord and behold, three days later, my 360 craps out on me, 3 Red lights.. And the thing is I play my 360 on average 10 hrs/wk because im usually too busy to play it, but yeah. this game is Definitely a killer in my opinion, because i've NEVER had problems with my 360 till i got this game. So if you have a 360, beware.. and no this isn't a joke post, this is serious, and if anyone must know, my box has a MFR date of 8-06-2006.. So i this is the first time i actually DO beleive, it maybe the discs they are using, or something is frying the inside of our machines..

Was your 360 in an enclosed entertainment center?

I used to have problems with every game I had (Oblivion and NCAA 07) and I kept it horizontal and didn't take out the game every time when i turned it off. Well last September my 360 died, and when I got a new one (I had the Best Buy warranty), the guy told me to keep my 360 vertical. I then read later about taking the disc out. My DDE went away almost completely for months. NCAA 07 was always bad for me, it got a little better but still wasn't great. I hadn't had any in easily 4 months and got one today, but it was when I didn't take my NCAA disc out after shutting down so that makes sense.

An odd little side note, and maybe this isn't the place:

My 360 CD tray the other day started having a problem where it could not open while vertical, it can if I lay it flat. After starting it up flat and putting the disc in, the CD tray can then open when vertical which makes no sense to me. It sounds like the CD tray gets jammed at first when vertical, then is fine when flat, but then is fine after I switch it back to vertical. Does anybody have any idea what is going on?

returned my copy to gamestop today. they tested the disk out on the display 360 and got the same unreadable disk error. must've been the disk. a disk with no damn scratches. the new one did load the game by the way.

Honestly, I didn't have problems out of my 360 until I got this game. Then, my 360 pretty much scratched up (I'm talkin about pinwheel scratches radiating from the center of the disk all the way out on one half of the disk) that game and now my NBA 2k7 keeps gettin dirty disk errors. I looked at it, and that game looked bad too.

Sucks that I can't find my receipt.

I had gone quite a while without getting this problem, but now I can't play a game without getting it. Weird thing is that my brother played four games last night against his friend with no problems, but any time I try to play my dynasty I get the error. This is a real problem and should not be happening as a widespread problem. I even shut the commentators off, but I guess that doesn't fix it either.
