Silders defeat the purpose of player ATTRIBUTES

I just thought about it... either they should get rid of the sliders all together or make the ratings of players actually work!

All these hours Im configuring sliders, im thinking about, "why am i doing this? dont they have attributes to represent how they play?"....

I love sliders(as they are optional), but itd be alot easer if the player ratings worked as they should, then we wouldnt need sliders at all..

Its kinda like the programmers are saying "hey our player ratings barely even work, so we tossed in this slider feature so you can do our job and nobody will complain"... idk..

For the most part I agree. It would be nice if the sliders actually worked too. If you set INT at 0, DBs should drop nearly 99% of all interceptions.

Re: Silders defeat the purpose of player ATTRIBUTES

i think that tweaking sliders to extremes certainly dampens the effect of attributes, but i don't know if they defeat the purpose... i've seen quite a few people prefer to play on aa and heisman with extreme tweaks, and i try to keep the sliders closer to 50 per the reasons you stated above... i think that the different combinations of attributes and sliders being discussed solidify the need to have both... we just wish we had a perfect game and think that mighty EA should give it to us every year

Yea, seems like sliders have made programmers lazy. Its like "hey, if they don't like the game then the sliders will fix it."

The real problem comes when the sliders don't even work...Interceptions.

Pretty sure attibutes still play heavily into it. Ever watch a lineman Run compared to a back? Notice your QB fumbles if he scrambles? Etc Etc.

I agree that sliders are a pain sometimes...but it doesn't defeat the purpose of attributes at all.

If you have a power back he's still a power back, if you have a speedy wideout he's still fast. The star players are still stars in my opinion.
