That's the way it is in real life though... If you would have overcome that fear, you probably would have won.

Re: i CANNOT win close games!

it was DEFINITELY in the old ps2 version..i havent played enough games on this year's 360 game to know if it's still there though.

i wasn't bitter, i had my share of close games wins and losses, but ironically it just seemed like the CPU could finally have success doing the same exact stuff that i was completely shutting down the entire game..just seems a little fishy ;-)

Have any of you complaining ever noticed this in real life? It happens all the time. Teams step up in crunch time.

Re: i CANNOT win close games!

If people lose a lead it's due to comeback code, nevermind the 10 games in which they didn't blow the lead. It happens people.

If it happened in every single game, then yes, we may have a problem. But it doesn't. In fact I've seen teams completely fall apart in this year's game - Marshall was up on Rutgers(me) 30-14. I eventually tied it at 38, they threw a pick and I kicked a FG on the last play to win it 41-38. For some, if that happened by the CPU team against them they would cry comeback code.

Re: i CANNOT win close games!

I won a close game against (Florida Int'l Or American, whatever the first team on south carolina's schedule is). They were winning and running out the clock when on the 3rd down my corner does the miraculous I just picked off a ball running the opposite way animation and I run it all the way back for the game winning score. If it was the other way around, I probably would have cut the game off and threw my controller because "they cheated". But since it was me. It was all user skill baby.

Exactly...I was down 28-10 with Northwestern at Purdue recently in the 4th and ended up winning 38-35. Comebacks happen both ways and teams step up late in games. Both user and CPU. Sometimes it takes desperation for a team to abandon their game plan and sometimes just winging it works.

You guys expect a team thats been struggling with the short passing game and running game all game long and is down big to continue to do the same stuff thats not been working. No....They start getting aggressive and going deep taking more chances downfield out of desperation (Just like any team in real life).

The notion that they start to "cheat" to get back in the game is preposterous.

I wouldn't go as far as saying cheat code.. but I will say funny things start to happen..

It does not always happen when they are trying to come back.. but when they need a key first down or something similiar, when they are 3rd and 7 and you called the perfect play and you have them stopped and somehow.. the QB or RB turns super.. and make unnatural stop on the dimes... and quirky moves for the first down.
