Help with Stumbling

I need some help guys. When I am playing defense and trying to cover players on pass plays with the player I am controlling he often stumbles or looks like he is going to fall to the ground. What in the world am I doing wrong? I am playing on the PS3. Thanks for any help.

that happened to me alot on CL, mainly due to the camera angle....you are probably hitting the R3 stick down...that's what I was doing

dont have ps3 but from complaints ive heard from ps3 users on apf 2k8, i would guess its the sixaxis motion sensor causing you to hit stick (thats the only animation that i know of that looks like stumbling, and just assuming you can use the sixaxis to hit stick.) If thats the case, hold the controller still, decrease the sixaxis sensitivity, or turn it off.

That sounds like what happens when you try to hit stick someone but don't actually hit them.
