Colt Brennan

Just finished Week 13 of my dynasty (USF & Michigan) and noticed that Hawaii QB Colt Brennan has thrown for 4,368 yards (900 more than runner up Brian Brohm) and 57 TD's already and the Warriors still have two regular season games, plus a bowl game, to play! However, he just got injured (foot stress fracture) and will miss three weeks. I can't even imagine the kind of numbers he was on the verge of putting up?!

Also, Michigan's Mike Hart regular season is over but leads the nation in rushing yards (2,217) and TD's (37), yet is not even a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. Hawaii's WR Davone Bess will likely win it (93-1,539-25TD with 3 games left). His numbers are amazing.

Re: Colt Brennan

It's not that unlikely. You take one of, if not the best QB in the land, add in an offense that will give him the most passes in the country, a coach that loves to run up the score, and a schedule that could possibly be the weakest 1A schedule in NCAA history, and you have the perfect storm of stats.

Re: Colt Brennan

Just finishing up and here's the Heisman results. A lot of shuffling in the last week ...

1. Michigan WR Mario Manningham (67-1,242-14TD; 7 punt return TD)
... does not include bowl game
2. Hawaii WR Davone Bess (120-1,806-26TD)
... includes bowl game
3. Louisville WR Harry Douglas (89-1,503-22TD)
... does not include bowl game
4. Hawaii QB Colt Brennan (4,885-64TD)
... comes back from injury to tack on 517y-7TD in bowl win over Tulsa
5. Michigan HB Mike Hart (2,217-38 total TD)
... does not include bowl game

Snubbed ...
Arkansas HB Darren McFadden (2,128-23 total TD)
New Mexico HB Rodney Ferguson (2,056-28 total TD)
Lousville QB Brian Brohm (3,621-51TD)

Re: Colt Brennan

A bit unrealistic that there were so many 2,000 yard rushers, and yes Mike Hart should have walked away with it...

This has to be on PS2 or XBOX because the 360 is not putting out sim stats like that.

Thats exactly what i thought, but I found it interesting that in two different dynasty's that I've started Manningham was the Heisman winner.

Re: Colt Brennan

So does this mean that the sim stats on 360 are inflated in NCAA like they are in Madden? Over on the Madden thread the word is elite QB's have like 52 tds and only 7 ints by seasons end, and average QB's put up pretty good stats like 28 tds with 12 ints or so. I even think someone said they led the league in interceptions with 15 or so. Sounds like this is happening in NCAA too with the last two posts saying how there are a lot of 2,000 yard rushers. How are the passing stats?
