Has your WR ever beaten a CB deep?

And i dont mean PA or anything. i just mean single coverage, and its a regular pass play, has your WR ever just simply beat the CB, and you threw the ball and he didnt do some ridiculous jump over the CB to catch it. He just beat he CB, you led him, and he caught it in stride for the TD.

Never happend for me

umm yes and no...i have beaten a man a couple times but when i want to lob it to him so he can catch on the run for some reason the backs at that time have supersonic speed and catch up and hit the ball down or something

well thats what I mean. The WR's always beat the man...but I mean does it actually happen when your WR beats the CB deep and your able to throw it to him so he can catch in stride for a TD. I dont mean, oh does ur WR ever have a step or two on the CB, cuz that happens often.

Yeah......

those animations are sweet - the guy extends and nabs it or dives for the ball.

Doesnt happen real often - the timing needs to be right on.

Re: Has your WR ever beaten a CB deep?

I have noticed that when I allow the WR to get "atleast" fifteen yards downfield before releasing the ball my QB throws a perfect lob pass either hitting my WR in stride or overthrowing him w/o the DB being able to jump up and bat the ball down. Throwing the ball w/o my WR getting "atleast" fifteen yards down field and it's a jump ball situation with the DB batting most balls down.

Maybe it's just me, on PS3, I throw deep routes by pushing up on the D-Pad while pressing the receivers icon....

example: receiver running streak is "triangle" I press up on pad and triangle it seems to put air on ball.....Either caught or overthrown..(Feet must be set though)
