I just did what you said and went to IGN. Took me all of about 20 seconds to figure out you're WRONG.

IGN gave Madden 08 for the 360 an 8.7 and the reader average was 8.0.

They gave NCAA and 8.3 and the reader average was actually HIGHER at 8.4.

Maybe you should have taken more than the 20 seconds to realize the theme I'm referring to is games being released today shouldn't be comparable to games released a few years back. This occurs in football yet you don't see it in any other sport on a similar level.

The one issue is that you assume I'm an EA fan because I spend alot of time tweaking this game.

I reality, I'm a frustrated gamer that doesn't have any choice but to play this game if I want to play college football at all. See, I don't have a PS2, or an XBox. I have an XBox 360, and for me there's only one option.

As for dismissing 80% as "overwhelmingly satisfied" maybe you'll understand this:

Madden has been in the top 4 top-selling games the last 3 years in a row and last year was the top-selling game across all platforms. Yes, that's correct. Madden sold more copies last year than any other game.

It's quite simple. We don't matter.

The hardcore football sim gamer represents a fraction of 1% of the number of people that are buying these games. It's not gonna change.

And therefore alot of us just shut up and deal with it, because the alternative is no football gaming at all.
