Do players who get redshirted improve the year they sit out?

I would say they progress at roughly the same rate (i.e. randomly 0-6 points of OVR improvement) as anyone else.

if you have 3 good FS's, then it would be a good idea to redshirt one of them, as you wouldn't waste one of his years of eligibility as a 3rd stringer

i never purposely redshirt anyone. if you are too deep at a position and one player gets zero playing time, the computer will reshirt them for you.

yeh, but if you mass sub your 2nd team D, then you could lose the redshirt, because a 3rd stringer played 2 plays in trash time...plus if you get injuries and need to play a player you marked to redshirt, you can add them on the depth chart

I basically red**** as much as possible. If I end up needing a guy I redshirted due to injuries, I just insert him into the depth chart... it's that easy.
