You probably have to turn on recruiting assistance in coach options. By default I think it is on. I always turn it off, I don't want the CPU doing anything for me.

The CPU does nothing for me in season and nothing as far as depth charts. I just don't want to spend the extra time to land 2* players that won't play prolly.

If I'm rebuilding a program then I'll take the time to recruit the lower rated prospects, but not if we're on top.
