'06 is the best in my opinion, because it was the first NCAA to have the juke stick.

I think the issue was a lot of slowdown when playing it on the 360.

Correct, the framerate jumps around from 15 to 60 frames per second. During gameplay 15 to 20 frames per seconds. Cut scenes, playmenu, pause screen run perfectly. I hope they re-patch to correct the framerates. Peace.

Re: Just picked up NCAA 06

I absolutely loved '06. I was one of the few that loved impact players exactly the way they were. They instilled a fear in you that you didn't feel in other football games (much like 2K4 did with the power back that would run you over - that was complained about too). In some ways it was better than '07. The inside running game was a lot better (especially on Heisman where it was crap in '07), no momentum led to many more close games and button kicking was FAR superior to the horrible analog system of '07. Also, '06 hadn't invented jump the snap which was horrible in '07 and it had d-line moves mapped to the R-stick which have now been inexplicably removed.

The biggest problems with '06 were the ease of completing passes into coverage, particularly downfield. The game took a lot of slider adjustments and the human running game was also too easy but the game was pure joy!

I make myself play through the slowdown on 360 and I have a lot of fun. I'm currently getting Rivalry trophies and running practice so I can stay competitive with my friends when we play on PS2.

Now I know why I didn't like '06. I was playing a game as my Cards and started Brohm for the heck of it and the first play of the game he got injured.

stupid '06..

Re: Just picked up NCAA 06

I decided to dig out my copy of 06 to hold me over until July. I had forgotten what a sweet game it was. My question is there any way to load rosters for the original XBOX version onto the 360?? I still have Fairdales 06 roster download, but I have no idea how to load them on the 360 (or if that's even a possibility). I have the XPort if that makes a difference.

The game is awesome, but it still drives me nuts to see "HB #5" makin moves instead of Reggie Bush.
