Anyone plan on buying the PS2 version of 09?

actually pursuit angles were suppose to be fixed in 09. If so ill def be picking it up.

Can you play PS2 games on a PS3. I know you could with PS2 and PS1 games. I might give the PS2 version a try if I'm still frustrated with PS3.

I am in the boat that would rather have better gameplay than fancy graphics and stadiums. I was fine with the PS2 versions. I kinda wish "next-gen" didn't come out (so does my wallet). It seems like EA made better games on last-gen.

Thats actually the reason when I upgraded from Psone I chose the PS2, because the games were backwards compatable.
When I do move up to next gen it will be most likely be a PS3 so I can still play those games.

I really mostly play sports games, and having games for a decade or so can still be fun. I first got NCAA FB 99 Charles Woodson cover. Obviously its not as deep as NCAA FB 09 will be, but I can still have fun with it every so often.

I'm pretty sure the new firmware added compatibility to the lower gigs capabilities. I know 20 gig can, I'm not sure about 40

well i know 40gig can't because that's why i didn't buy one. their is rumors about a patch for software to allow it but i dunno about any validity to that..
