Special Teams enhancements?

Not sure if anyone caught this but from vetzballin.com

"The jury remains out on how effective these boosts are, but I did block a punt after instructing my team to get the ball back."

Personally, i find this great news. Special teams plays a HUGE part now a days and it always is lacking in EA games. I'd love to know that there are consequences for max punt etc.

it was awesome to see the blocked punt.

however, i didn't like how the up man just stood there and watched the player burst through the line. and it looked like max protection was called on that play as well.

i'm all for blocked kicks. but i'd rather not have them at all than have them in yet implemented poorly. we'll see though. hopefully it's a non-issue.

When will EA ever add the ability to do laterals on kickoffs? When will they add some more plays in general to special teams? They really need to do a lot of work in this area for both of their football games.

They have added FG returns this year.

I like that. I just would like to block a FG. You've never been able to do that. And being a Michigan man I know how much a blocked FG can mean......

What are you talking about? I blocked at least one PAT/FG a game on NCAA '08 once I figured out how to do it. I actually blocked three PAT's and two FG's versus my friend in one game. From that night forward he has avoided kicking at all costs versus me. I always block the kicks with the Safety running straight up the middle through the line between the center and the left guard.

Gonna have to try that. I always have tried to speed rush the end or run and jump at the line. I guess I just suck at that......
