Yes you could just chuck it up all day. I remember having games where my WR's would have 300 or 350 yards of receiving. Nostalgia is quite a powerful thing in the videogame world.

I started playing '04 again with sliders, and the deep ball seems pretty realistic. Maybe I suck

Re: Ncaa Football 2004

While 2004 was the "most fun" of the series, the offense was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy. I remember I had problems of throwing for more then 1000 yards in a game which would flip the stats over to negative numbers. Same would go for 10,000 yards in a season would flip the stats over. The game was super easy to run and throw on (passing way easier then running) so the answer in 2005 was to break the offense (screw up blocking and make WRs drop everything and break every QB's arm) so that the games were more like 20-17 versus the 88 - 40 in 2004.

I would expect 2010 to revert back to 2005 so expect them to simply break stuff that works on offense versus fix the defensive side of the ball.

I'm not sure that's entirely true.

If I'm not mistaken, 05 had a different developer or producer or something. Didn't they re-do the engine that year? It wasn't just 04 with updated rosters and the inability to pass. It was a much different game. Animations were different, player models were different, physics were different. It wasn't a big change like from last gen to next gen, but there were obvious changes. Enough so that I wouldn't say they "broke" things. They just failed.

What year was Rivals recruiting service supposed to be included in the game? I thought that would've been pretty cool, but apperently the NCAA said NO.

Anyone know of some really good sliders for 2004? I would actually like to play this game before 09 comes out.
