Last year's patch?

How long after the release did the patch come out last year? Did it help at all? I'll be waiting to hear impressions, letting the rosters come out, and finding out about any gamekilling features with the ai (offline single player dynasty guy here) that can be fixed or patched before I buy this.

Even though I would be ecstatic to be able get my college football fix this year, what I've heard about last year's game and some of the potential problems with this game have me worried.
Thank god for the Show if this game does not deliver.

About 2-3 months if I am not mistaken. The PS3 patch came out before the 360 patch.

Re: Last year's patch?

Wasn't it darn near December (or during December)? I can't remember clearly, but I think the regular season had already ended by the time it came out.

Regarding the planned patch for '09, I believe I read it'd take 2-3 months from now to be made available. I could be wrong on that.

It made the game go from sucks, to stinks.

I gave my copy away to a friend, and he's still asking for a refund.

Re: Last year's patch?

For the 360 I think it was in December. As far as fixing turnover issues, IMO it didn't at all. All I noticed was the touch passing was better.

Yeah I know in Kadden I could tell it fixed the turnover issue a little bit. But in NCAA the turnover bug still was bad even after the patch. And the touch passing was better, you're right about that.

Re: Last year's patch?

Am I the only one that thinks the idea of a turnover glitch was overated?

Playing against human competition:
I probably average 1 turnover a game.
While forcing 1 or 2.

And I throw the ball a lot.

Re: Last year's patch?

I didn't have a big problem with the computer intercepting me, but rather a BIG problem with how many user picks I got. Even if I wasn't controlling the defensive man near the ball, it would still happen often. I play on AA with sliders and would set the school INT record pretty much every 1st dynasty with who (who is def not a top 25 defense). It's pretty sad when you average around 25 INT's a season through 4 dynasties with Iowa.

I want realism and just didn't think it was there as far as turnovers. I learned to tone down the user fumbles and me throwing INT's by being smart, but there is no way to cure something you have zero control over....like the CPU throwing tons of INT's.
