someone else told me they did that and ebay banned their account.

Somebody should tell eBay about the roster dilemma and how it's against NCAA regulations..

this might not work, as they'll see nothing wrong with it initially. but if they get enough complaints, maybe they'll realize that its infact ILLEGAL.

Listing Violations > Counterfeits and copyright violations > Other potential infringement > Offering to electronically send or receive copyrighted material

Another option is to send email:

http://ebay-us.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/...nduser/ask.php

topic: Misuse of Ebay----report a user.

Now itll ask for your ebay name and the other guys, as well as the item number. so do a quick ebay search and youll have all the info you need. The part that is tricky is the "Enter your question and additional data ..." text box. Here you may want to ask them to look into this, and link them to many articles and even the NCAA regulation book.

maybe if there is enough people sending emails, they will do something. Itll take nomore than 2 minutes after you do it once.

NCAA regulations only apply to the people under the NCAA

The flier is targeted to people who don't know rosters exist.

Since the people on Ebay are actively seeking rosters, you should write something that explains to them they're being ripped off by people charging for freely available work.

The current flier you have up now, sounds commercially driven, and people might think there's a catch.

It applys to anybody selling NCAA merchandise, including named rosters. In fact, Kaldenberg doesn't even have NCAA/CLC licensing so there's another reason why his operations are illegal. It's stealing somebody else's trademark (the Universities).

Re: Regarding Free Rosters/Ebay

Guys,

I posted a few years ago on eBay regarding free rosters and actually created a few listings promoting free rosters, etc. Needless to say... it cost to host the auctions but I was willing to pay a few bucks to notify people about free rosters. Well, it didn't take long before my eBay account was banned. I always assumed either Dave Morris from RosterDownloads.com or Brian Kalderberg reported my auctions because it was taking away from their cash cow.
