Connection Failed! - lil help OMT?

For whatever reason my ability to connect to the EA servers are now hit and miss, and I've hung around waiting for someone else to post about it, basically when I log in to live the options don't show up under the xbox live tab in the game, i click it, and it says I need to be logged on to both live and EA, i click ok, then get the connection failed message. I have a gold membership and I have the port DMZ'd. Is there anything going on I could fix?

Has anyone else ran into this?

The odd part is, its hit or miss sometimes I can play just fine, others I can not.

Mine isn't even hit-or-miss. Mine just refuses to work.

Anytime I click on the "Xbox Live" option on the main menu, it just says "EA Servers are unavailable at this time. Please try again later."

The weirdest part, for me, is that I can access the Xbox Live options, and in-turn the servers, in NCAA 09 on another gamertag, just not my main Longhorn6 one.

ah ha, I was actually able to do it on my wife's gamertag twice, and now even that one doesn't work.

Sorry you're having problems, but glad not to be alone.

Tell me about it. My back-up gamertag worked everytime I tried it, but that was only about 4 or 5 times.

I've been working with Longhorn all night trying to fix this. It has to be something with his EA account and linking to the gamertag. It's supposed to send him an email t link it, but it doesn't for some reason. What's odd though, you can't add anyone to a dynasty online if they don't have a linked EA account, and I can add Longhorn.

it could just be all the people on the EA servers and it is just slowing down everybody or not letting everyone connect

I'll do you one better, I'm currently RUNNING an online dynasty with my borked GT. How are you trying to relink it out of curiousity?
