Defending the Underneath route, the Curl pattern, and the Slant
Ok so I was playing New Mexico State last night in my Nebraska Dynasty, and they were catching everything. I tried to tone down the sliders, which kind of worked but not well enough.
Anyway, they kept running these routes that were right underneath any zone I played. I would call Cover 3, Cover 2, and like every other zone in Nickel, Dime, and 4-3, but nothing. Man to man seemed to have no effect either. They would also run these curl routes, and just sit there, catch it, and run for a big gain.
So what do I run to counter the Underneath route, the curl, and the slant? I know man will just get you burnt, and I'm thinking of trying out the Multiple Defense playbook to get some results.
