He has some good points. But it's clear he's never played NHL 08. Put him in front of the TV with NHL 08 in the console, put the difficulty to at least All Star, and get him on the penalty kill with a 2 man disadvantage. Something tells me he gives up a goal everytime until he learns the proper way to play defense. And even then he'll have to work to keep the puck out of his own net.

Your point about NHL is very valid but I do see what see's as well.....there was no advantage to icing the puck.....you were better off skating it out....looks like that will be fixed for 09....

His points on madden are very valid....ive long hated the super man LB's!

A good read. I liked the fact that it gave many of the main complaints many gamers have whilst also giving the developers side. The section about the "cheese" definitely showed that no matter how hard a developer tries, it is nigh imposible to acount for every single way that someone will try to beat the A.I..

I know I want to control the outcome of the game but I'd love to see a poor rated QB make bad throws. It seems as though 99% of the passes are on the money and they are either: caught, knocked down, intercepted, dropped. Where are the incompletions that hit the ground without being touched?

I guess coding is REALLY hard...but the reality is they are probably more focused on coming up with ways to sell the game.

Good article and I agreed with most of that. Especially the part about the catch up A.I. Every year in EA football games the A.I.'s 2 minute offense is impossible to stop
