So is '08 better than '09?

Ehhh, Ii wouldnt say 08 is actually better, but I will say, I dont notice to much of a difference. Seriously, all I've noticed different so far is better looking grass and cheerleaders now. Couple of new tackle animations. Wide open gameplays not really a big thing, and presentation is still pretty much the same, same commentary also. I dont get it. Oh yeah, they show replays at the end of the game of big plays. Theres no recap or commentary added with it though, so its kind of drab, ya know.

I didnt really agree with folks who said each year its basically just roster updates, with bull**** upgrades. I'm starting to agree now actually. They should take a year off and enhance the game seriously. Presentation really needs work. Leave the gameplay alone, and focus on strict presentation, since it doesnt seem like they can do both.

I picked up my game on the 16th. I came home and played it. This is by far the second best game behind 2k5. Twice better than 08.

WOW, I respect your opinion and all, but you give the ludicrous turnover and bug fest known as Madden 08, a B-? EEK. If "B" level is above average, there is no way 08 deserves a "B". At best it's a C- but I put it squarely in "D" as a below average game.

'09 has issues but some people are blowing them out of proportion here. None of the issues the game has are gamekillers unlike the turnovers of '08 imo. The only thing really broken is the punt return game which is terrible. Everything else I can live with and I enjoy the game.

Just buy it and sell it on ebay if you don't like it. Your loss will equal a rental and you won't have wasted rental money on it if you keep it.

Very true. This game could get better over time or get worse. A poll in about a month will be more appropriate.

One of the best examples of getting better over time was Madden '03. I remember thinking it wasn't much different at first and then liked the game more and more. NCAA '08 was something that I grew to like and then grew to dislike with all the turnovers.
