Curious question about making rosters

I'm becoming an old man, so my next gen skills aren't as great. I actually just bought a 360 not too long ago.

I HATE the profile feature. In order for you to load a save on your memory device you have to also have the profile that created it loaded as well.

Lets say I want to take my franchise save somewhere else and move it to my memory unit. I can't play at a friends house unless I also moved the profile to the memory card too.

Anyway, I'm sure you all know that.

What I'm wondering is, how do the roster makers make it possible for everyone to get their rosters? Do they really have to create a new profile for each memory card they send out? In other words, they'd have to load up their original profile, load up the roster, log out of the profile, create a new profile and create it to the memory unit, then save the roster to that memory unit? They can't just "copy" a profile, can they? The only option I've seen is the "move" feature when it comes to profile saves.

So they have to do that with the files they post online too, right?

yes, Microsoft makes game save sharing really difficult, they "try" to prevent possible cheating as best as possible, unfortunately, it sucks for us honest gamers.

I'm pretty sure that what they have to do. some of them were able to get rid of the security tag on the files so that its not locked to a profile, but i can't really get into that.
