Anyone Playing Good Defense Now?

I know at first how hopeless it felt to try and play defense when this thing first dropped. But, at least for me, I think it just took some getting used to. I'm back to only allowing between 14-17 points against online opponents. One of the biggest things was coming to the realization that Quarters can be an every down defense. I read in another thread how the guy was crashing the line, slanting the line, and rushing outside to keep people guessing. I was doing that too, and that definitely has helped control people. And another guy said he hot routes his linebackers to spy the QB to keep them in the middle of the field. That alone has gotten me 2-4 picks a game. Anyone else having defensive success?

That QB spy trick works wonders. It works better than yellow zones in my opinion.

If you leave all sliders at default youll have to do a lot of pre-snap stuff just to hold the pass game to below 75% completions...

I pretty much spread or shift the line every single down to create even the tiniest bit of space in the middle, also a lot of DE contain and QB spy. Yellow zones might as well just have the player stand on the sideline, so I have to Hot Route any player in the formation that runs a yellow zone (usually switch it to a spy) If I want them to play any D at all.

Without question. It keeps my LBs in the passing lanes every time.

I am playing a lot more Dime and Quarter defenses this year. Most guys give up on the run way too easy and just try to scramble around with their QB. Even for my base defenses, I have been using a lot of nickel and 3 linemen fronts.

the sad part is he is right. as me & lbzrule call it...its the "ea defense"

you can shut someones offense down entirely by running qtrs defense all game
